MyITCRM2 plus latest news

Written by Glen Vanderhel on .

Well it has been a long time since we have release out last version of the software. This is mainly due to time.

As you may already know, this software is written and developed in my spare time. Over the past year, I have been spending my spare time in the forum and also developing myitcrm2, hence why it has been along time since that last release.

I would also like to say a big thanks to all of you who have donated to myitcrm of the past year, it has helped cover the hosting costs. We have also been using digitalocean VPS to host the ruby demo which has been running now for several months and I am very impressed with the service. Thankyou Digitalocean for the great service!

MyITCRM2 is still in a alpha stage with more features being added all the time to make it extremely usable and suitable for all types of businesses.

For those interested, you can check out the latest code demo at http://ruby2.myitcrm.com/

New Website plus new features

Written by Glen Vanderhel on .

So I will start off by saying that the releases made during the last year have been minimal. This is mainly due to a few things. One of these is that I have been focusing as much time on the Ruby rewrite. The others are answering questions and issues in the forum, but also my day job has become more demanding.

MyIT CRM's Future - A total rewrite in Ruby/Rails!

Written by Glen Vanderhel on .

MyIT CRM as been steadily developed of the 18 months since it's started.
Built from the Open Source Cite CRM version which was a great starting point at the time, it has become quite difficult to add all those features which you the users have requested.

It has been decided by the team that we will begin rewriting MyIT CRM from the ground up, and this time using Ruby and Rails programming language.
Now before you ask, MyIT CRM (php/current version) will continue to be developed and bugs resolved, and of course the odd feature thrown in as well, so you will be able to get updates and releases still for your current installs.
